Mentorship is failing because we've reached the 20% Commitment Cliff.

We’re seeing a sharp 20% drop-off in active sponsorship for diverse leaders. The initial excitement has faded, and corporate commitment is flagging.

The reality? Mentorship without sponsorship is just a nice conversation.

A mentor talks TO you. A sponsor talks ABOUT you in rooms you haven't entered yet. When corporate interest drops, those "nice conversations" are the first to go because they were never tied to systemic change.

High-achieving women: especially Black women: are getting stuck in this gap. You’re doing the work, but the ladder is being pulled up.

Don't wait for a corporate program to find its pulse again.

Too many organizations have a DEI policy on paper, but there is often a 15% gap between what’s written and what employees actually experience. Why? Because symbolic change is easy to sign, but structural change requires a shift in daily behavior.

If your policy isn't reaching the lunchroom, the boardroom, or the zoom room, it’s not working.

To move from a document to a lived culture, we must:
