Dr. Karen Threlkel received her degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (National College of Natural Medicine) in Portland, Oregon, which is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and is recognized by the US Department of Education. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland at College Park. She is licensed in Naturopathic Medicine by the Government of the District of Columbia Department of Health. Dr. Threlkel is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Washington DC Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Dr. Threlkel believes the body has the inherent ability to establish, maintain, and restore health. Her role is to facilitate and augment this process, to identify and remove obstacles to health and recovery, and to support the creation of a healthy internal and external environment. Her specialties include integrative medicine; bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, weight loss, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine, and detoxification with the use of Far Infrared Sauna Therapy.
