Storytelling has always carried the lessons, values, and strength of Native communities. This Native American Heritage Month, NCUIH honors the storytellers—past, present, and future—by protecting the health of our youngest, eldest, and most vulnerable.

RSV is a contagious respiratory virus that can be dangerous for babies and young children. It is the leading cause of hospitalization in infants, with American Indian and Alaska Native children experiencing disproportionately higher rates of RSV-related hospitalization and ICU admission rates when compared to other U.S. infants. RSV immunization can protect our future storytellers and knowledge keepers. Talk to your provider today about RSV prevention. Call (405) 948-4900 to schedule an appointment.

RSV season is here. It spreads quickly and can be dangerous for our babies and elders. But there are ways to protect our relatives! Immunization recommendations for elders and babies can differ. Let's keep our circle strong and ask your provider about how to prevent RSV this season. 💪
Walk in at DIHFS on Thursdays for flu, COVID-19, and RSV vaccines, or schedule an appointment on other weekdays!
