At a Friendsgiving dinner recently, we were invited to reflect on a pivotal moment in our lives—the one thing that changed everything.

For me, it began my freshman year of college, assigned to read “A World Without Poverty.” I didn’t know it at the time, but that book, combined with my insatiable curiosity and refusal to live a small life, changed the trajectory of my entire life.

Three years later, I wandered sheepishly around the career fair, hoping not to make eye contact with a single recruiter… until I saw the Peace Corps table.

My body was an immediate F yes.

Two degrees, two minors, and two semesters later, I chose my fate. I was young. I didn’t need much. I packed my bags and moved to Costa Rica… ready to contribute, ready to be changed.

What I didn’t expect was how hard it would be.

The isolation was real, and transition… brutal. I found myself stuck in cycles of comparison and not-enoughness, constantly measuring myself against the volunteer before me.

The stress caught up with me.
My body broke down.
I became sick—eventually diagnosed with celiac disease.

That moment changed everything. I became obsessed with healing—first for myself, then others.

I studied holistic health while finishing my Peace Corps service. I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training as that chapter closed. And without realizing it, I was being initiated into the work I now do in the world.

Costa Rica didn’t just shape me.
It made me.

This March, 15 women are joining me back to Costa Rica… ten years after moving there as a Peace Corps volunteer. 🥹😻

If you would have told me back then, I would have thought you were crazy.

And now, a decade later, I return. Not as a girl trying to prove herself, but as a woman ready to guide others through their own remembering.

There is a happy ending to this story… Read until the end 🥲

He tells me to prepare for an evening of sacred ceremony.
A devotional prayer of love through union.
I go to the store and buy a dozen white roses, berries, and chocolate.
We make love that connects us to God.

He tells me he’s going to choose me.
Days later, our relationship is over.
And just like that, he’s gone.
A knife through my heart, I know even more deeply, the visceral experience of impermanence.
I let him go.

I light a candle and pull the petals off the sacred rose from our final love making ceremony together.
The healing waters that I soon bathe in, receive the petals with love.
Every petal, plucked off, one by one, with a prayer of love and healing loss.
I get in the tub and weep.
My tears purify what is no longer mine.
The petals wipe my tears.
And a red string around my wrist with a prayer, to call my energy back, and return to wholeness, alone.

The moment I return to sacred union within, God brings us together again.

Since June, I’ve gotten to (in no particular order)…

✨ travel to Puerto Rico & see family I haven’t seen in 25+ years
✨ see my sister get married to the man of her dreams
✨ spin the dragon staff & order on that’s on its way to me now 🔥🐉
✨ attend .bridge.experience with & and get my mind & heart blasted open
✨ hike & swim naked in waterfalls and in national forests
✨ share the darkest parts of me that, as it turns out… are not as horrible as I thought!
✨ experience the most divine, platonic, intimate relationship of my life & rewrite narratives with men
✨ lead the most epic & edgy online program to date, The Love Portal
✨ lead THE MOST epic in-person day retreat to date
✨ move back into my HOME in Denver, a place Luna and I love sooo much!

Feeling the profound impact of what it means to truly serve from my heart. As I continue to decondition what I was taught to believe about the industry, I’m discovering the subtle pulse of my power, intuition, and a return to love & my true gifts at the core.

God has gifted me the ability to hold massive, radical, edgy, nurturing, loving space for the collective. I decided to stop caring so much, have more fun, let myself be the one who dictates my own joy & satisfaction, and fully surrender into the magic life has in store for me.

I spontaneously bought a ticket to see alone at Red Rocks, because if I don’t date me, who will?

Then I quantum leaped the experience to an even intimate show in the mountains on a friend date, had the time of my life, saw three shooting stars, listened to the river, and ran through the sprinklers under the dark moon, giggling like a kid.

I drank mezcal, had wine, smoked Santa Maria for the first time in over a year, sat with sacred plant medicines, meditated twice daily, journaled more than I have in months, lifted weights, picked up a book, made money, wrote love letters, got accepted to teach at , cuddled, and cried.

Partied like a freaking ROCKSTAR to ring in my 32nd lap around the sun 💫☀️

There were a lot of ‘firsts’ in these last few weeks. The greatest gift I have received is not one touched, but felt in the sanctuary of my own heart. A sense of peace and awe at my resilience and bravery to embrace the wild, unexpected leaps of massive growth.

15) an attempt to blow out candles on the anatomically accurate pu$$y cake while tied up with sh***ri rope around our necks, unable to breath. 😮‍💨

In stage as a speaker in front of 100 women, and again at my own birthday party with 80+, I had an out-of-body experience…
