There was so much joy in the room 💛

Our community was grateful for a Community Baby Shower hosted by Wellpoint DC. Dozens of expecting moms and their families came and were filled with connection, fellowship, and real support.

From free essentials to a variety of community resources, this was about making sure families feeling supported. Moms had space to bond through fun activities, while little ones enjoyed their own space to play and just be kids.

Thank you, , for providing delicious, low-sodium meals. And thank you to for your support. It made the day even more meaningful.

This is what community looks like. This is what support feels like.

It’s Black Maternal Health Week—a time to name what’s real and uplift what’s possible. The disparities are real, and they impact families in our community. But we also see the power of care that listens, supports, and shows up.

At Community of Hope, we’re committed to care that honors, protects, and celebrates Black mothers and families. If you or someone you know is expecting, we’re here to walk with you—every step of the way.
