The recent congressional inquiry into GME has brought greater attention to the transition to residency. In response, N**P President and CEO has released a Letter to the Community that provides valuable context about the history of the N**P and establishment of the antitrust exemption for matching programs, clarifies N**P’s role and purpose within the transition to residency, and addresses mischaracterizations of The Match and the scope of the antitrust exemption.

The N**P is excited to welcome Neuroendovascular Intervention and Neurosurgical Oncology to the Specialties Matching Service offering programs a centralized process for conducting fellowship recruitment! The inaugural matches for both specialties will be held in 2026 for the 2027 appointment year.
