Last day of Black Maternal Health Week—but let’s be clear, this work doesn’t clock out. 🤍✊🏾✨
As we close this week with The Cypher Collective, we’re not just honoring the voices that carried us—we’re making space for the ones coming up behind us. The youth aren’t “the future” in some distant way… they’re already here, already watching, already shaping what comes next.
If we’re serious about birth justice, we have to bring them in on purpose.
Not just inspiration—real access. Real tools. Real proximity.
That means: Inviting them into the rooms where conversations are happening
Letting them see birth work in real life, not just online
Teaching them the history AND the skills
Making space for their questions, their ideas, their vision
And most importantly… listening without trying to control the narrative
Because Black mamas deserve care that is rooted, protected, and whole.
And our youth deserve to inherit more than a crisis—they deserve a blueprint.
Let’s tap in together 👇🏾
💬 If you’re part of the next generation, what changes do YOU want to see in maternal care?
💬 What’s something you wish more young people understood about Black maternal health?
💬 Tag a young advocate, student, or future birth worker who’s already walking in purpose
Pour into them. Stand beside them. Pass it forward.
This movement doesn’t end. It grows. 🌱
