For many kids living with Sickle Cell Disease, cold means pain.
Even just walking outside in winter can trigger a pain crisis severe enough to require hospitalization.
So snow days aren’t magical, they’re dangerous.
And snow angels? Hard Pass.
But this young warrior is going through a bone marrow transplant to potentially cure her Sickle Cell. And what she wants most? To finally lie down in the snow without fear. I can’t wait to see those pics 🥰🥰🥰
