CareChoice

CareChoice At CareChoice, we believe that everyone deserves the right to live with dignity, independence, and purpose—especially as they age.

That’s why we are committed to empowering individuals and families with the freedom to choose who provides their care CareChoice began in 2004 in Philadelphia with a vision: to empower families with real choices about their loved ones’ care. Rooted in strong community connections and a deep commitment to dignified aging, we quickly became a trusted partner for families across the region. As our reputation for compassionate, participant-centered care grew, we expanded throughout Pennsylvania—building lasting community ties and refining our approach to meet the diverse needs of every family we served. Over the years, thousands of families have placed their trust in CareChoice, relying on us to provide the highest standard of care and support. Today, CareChoice proudly supports families in multiple states. With over two decades of experience, we continue to deliver exceptional care while honoring each individual’s independence, dignity, choice and right to remain at home.

In 2015, President Barack Obama spoke about the need to ensure older Americans have the resources and support they need to thrive- and that message still holds true today.

African Americans are about 20-35% more likely to die from heart disease and other major heart and blood vessel diseases than non-Hispanic White Americans.

But heart disease is often preventable. Managing blood pressure, wasting heart- healthy foods, staying active, and keeping up with regular checkups can make a life-saving difference 🫀

As we age, our blood vessels naturally become a bit stiffer. Regular movement helps maintain elasticity and keeps blood pressure in check🫀

According to the and , seniors should aim for a “triad” of movement to keep the heart and vascular system in peak shape. This includes a mix of aerobic exercise, resistance training, and simple power of simply just “sitting less”.

Pro tip: Start with just 5 minutes a day and work your way up🚶🏾‍♂️🚶🏾‍♀️

Remember to always chat with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
