Our residents had a wonderful time decorating holiday cookies, adding colorful icing, sprinkles, and plenty of holiday cheer. From creative designs to tasty treats, this joyful activity was the perfect way to celebrate the season together. There’s nothing sweeter than making memories—especially when cookies are involved! 💚✨

Day 6: Hot Cocoa, Apple Cider & Caroling🩵☕️

Day 6 was all about warm drinks and warm hearts! Residents and staff cozied up with hot cocoa and apple cider—and instead of traditional caroling, we turned up the fun with Christmas karaoke 🎤🎶

From classic holiday favorites to big smiles and lots of laughter, our Hawthorne Woods family truly rocked the season. Thank you to everyone who sang along, cheered each other on, and made the day merry and bright! ❤️☕🍎🎄

🎉🚐 Celebrating a Well-Deserved Retirement at Hawthorne Woods! 🚐🎉

Today we gathered with residents and team members to honor our incredible van driver, Kim, as he begins his well-earned retirement. Over the years, Kim has done so much more than drive—he’s shared laughs, stories, kindness, and made sure our residents arrived safely to countless outings and appointments. ❤️

His retirement party was filled with gratitude, smiles, and heartfelt thanks for the many memories and miles Kim has given to the Hawthorne Woods community. He will truly be missed, but we wish him nothing but happiness, relaxation, and new adventures in this next chapter! 🌟👏

🎄🍽️🛍️ Weekly Outing Fun at Hawthorne Woods! 🛍️🍽️🎄

Our residents enjoyed another wonderful weekly outing, and this week’s adventure took them to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen for a delicious lunch followed by some festive Christmas shopping at JCPenney! 🎁✨

There were plenty of smiles, great conversation, and full plates—but the highlight of lunch just might have been Neva’s BIG slice of cake for dessert 🍰😄 (because the holidays are the perfect time to indulge!).

We love creating special moments and memories like these with our residents at Hawthorne Woods. ❤️

Our Elf on the Shelf, Tinseltoots, has officially applied for a job! 📝🎅

With top-tier training from Elf Academy and more experience than Buddy the Elf himself, we’d say this little guy is more than qualified!

We’re not sure what position he’s after, but one thing’s for certain—Tinseltoots is already hard at work spreading holiday cheer, mischief, and smiles all around Hawthorne Woods. ❤️🎄
