Today is National Caregivers Day, and we want to say THANK YOU for all that you do. 💜

To the family caregivers who support a loved one with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) every day, often with no paycheck and no true “off” button, we see you. Caregiving can be meaningful. It can also be exhausting. Your health matters too. Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your loved one.

And to our direct support staff, thank you. You are caregivers in every sense of the word. You bring skill, patience, and heart to the people we serve. Many of you are caregivers at home too, in ways most people never see. You matter. And taking care of yourself helps you keep showing up for others.

Caregiving is hard work. If you are doing it, you deserve care too. 💛

Please take a minute to read these 10 tips for caregivers. Save them and share them with someone who could use support right now.
