🌟 Grant Spotlight 🌟

The Family Life Services of Washington, Inc., doing business as First Choice Solutions (FCS), has received grant funding to support payroll for its Nurse Manager, ensuring the continuation of essential, no-cost medical care for women and families experiencing unplanned pregnancies.

FCS provides pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasounds, sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, and prenatal vitamins – all offered free of charge.

By combining medical care, education, and material aid, the clinic reduces financial and transportation barriers, improves maternal and infant health, and strengthens family stability across Daviess and surrounding counties.

Several of our staff and volunteers had the opportunity to attend this encouraging Networking Day last November. We met up with acquaintances from around the state, made friends, enjoyed time away from the daily routine, and were inspired and challenged. We are so thankful to partner with Option Line. When someone in crisis calls our office after-hours, they will always reach a LIVE counselor, not a recording. Someone who will talk with them, counsel them, add an appointment to our calendar for them, or give them referrals to help meet their immediate needs. And importantly, someone who speaks their language. We are thankful to be impacting lives 24/7 through valuable partnerships like .

Our Story

Formerly known as the Pregnancy Care Center, First Choice Solutions was started in 1999 as a resource connecting women with pregnancy help in crisis situations. Twenty years later we are still reaching out to women in our community with free pregnancy tests and parenting classes, as well as free baby supplies. Now we have expanded our services to become a medical clinic, offering ultrasound and — soon — STI testing and treatment.

We are in the process of transitioning to a larger facility in Washington’s west end to be able to provide STI testing and abortion pill reversal. As our services continue to expand, our outreach grows and we are able to serve more women and men in our community and surrounding counties.
