Ridgewood was proud to take part in this morning’s Coffee With A Cop event! We had a wonderful time connecting with our community and sharing information about our respite services — now available at a special holiday rate.

We had a wonderful Veterans Day Parade throughout the facility, followed by a special outdoor picnic to celebrate our resident and staff veterans. 🎖️ It was a beautiful day filled with gratitude, music, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to the American Legion and the DAV for your incredible support and for the beautiful medallions presented to our veterans — your generosity and kindness made this celebration extra special. 🙏

Veteran Spotlight: Mr. George Galtress Jr.

We’re honored to recognize Mr. Galtress, who proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1975. During his service, he completed radar training on the AN/SPS-48 system, earned the title of “Honor Man” during boot camp, and sailed on two Mediterranean cruises aboard the USS Yarnell and USS Mitscher.

After his military career, Mr. Galtress earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Old Dominion University and dedicated nearly 30 years to Weyerhaeuser Paper Company.

Thank you, Mr. Galtress, for your service, leadership, and contributions both in and out of uniform. 💙
