This past weekend was National Veterinary Appreciation Day 🐾

Veterinary medicine isn’t always easy. It’s long days, emotional conversations, unexpected emergencies, and the weight of loving animals just as much as the people who bring them in.

It’s staying late when a patient needs you.
It’s celebrating the wins….big and small.
It’s carrying the losses with you, even after you’ve gone home.

But it’s also the wagging tails, the quiet purrs, the second chances, and the trust you build with every pet and every family.

It’s not an easy job, but it’s a meaningful one. And that’s why we stay.

🎉 Happy 11th Birthday, Ellie! 🎉
We have a very special milestone to celebrate! Our sweet friend Ellie is officially 11 years young! 🎂🦴
Ellie has been such a brave girl as she continues her ongoing chemotherapy treatments. Despite the journey, she is doing wonderfully and still greets us with the same wagging tail and resilient spirit we’ve all come to love.

Argos, a Great Dane puppy, came in for his final exam and vaccines today.

When we saw him for his first visit at 8 weeks old he weighed 30 pounds, today he is weighing in at 66 pounds! He has grown just a little bit!! 😂

Trainers tip: Training is great to implement into a daily routine with any age dog. When puppies are no longer growing then calories may need to be less. The days you plan to do more training then lower their meals by 25% to help maintain a healthy weight. This tip does not apply to Argos at this time as he is at a great weight for his size! ☺️

Lilies may be beautiful, but they are extremely toxic to cats—even small exposures like pollen on their fur or a few licks of water from the vase can cause kidney failure.

🚫 Keep all lilies out of homes with cats
🚫 Be cautious with bouquets and floral arrangements
🚫 Let friends/family know if they’re sending flowers

If you think your cat has been exposed, seek veterinary care immediately—early treatment can be lifesaving.

Cats are incredibly smart—and with the right approach, they truly enjoy learning. In this video, our certified veterinary technician Kristin is working with her cats, Spaghetti and Texas Toast, using clicker training. This method pairs a simple sound with a reward to teach behaviors in a positive, low-stress way.
