A good article but slightly misleading, if you read the bill it puts all products made from the cannabis plant (full spectrum h**p, broad spectrum, isolate) into the cannabis category. Only dispensaries will be able to sell anything made from h**p. And most dispensaries don’t sell products similar to ours (low or no THC products)

If you aren’t able to come by the shop and fill out a petition letter, the Missouri H**p Trade Association has put together a petition for the Governor to veto this bill. Please sign if our h**p products have helped you.

Come by the shop and fill out a letter to the Governor asking him to veto the bill and tell him about how H**p helps you, we will even send it for you.
If he signs this bill, you all will be forced to buy your h**p from a dispensary and most dispensaries don’t sell high CBD, low THC products. H**p will no longer exist here in Missouri.
If you can’t stop by the shop, please call or write the governor, we have 15 days to get him to veto the bill as it’s written now.

HB 2641 has officially passed the Missouri House in a 126–23 vote.
After clearing the Senate following hours of debate, and moving quickly through Fiscal Review, this bill has now been Truly Agreed and Finally Passed. It now heads to Governor Kehoe’s desk for signature or veto.

Let us be clear…We WILL remember this.

We will remember the votes. We will remember the voices that stood with small businesses and those who didn’t. We will remember who chose fairness, and who chose to hand an entire industry over to a select few.

The way the bill is written, we would no longer be able to sell CBD products. They say it’s just removing “intoxicating” THC products, but it’s not. Everything h**p would only be sold by dispensaries and most dispensaries only sell products high in THC. So our customers that CBD is helping but don’t want the high, would lose access to their products. Please contact your representative and tell them to vote no! This is the last chance to stop this bill.

HB 2641 has passed the Senate and is now moving to the House for final approval. If this bill becomes law, it will eliminate nearly all h**p product categories in Missouri, leaving only beverages and dismantling an entire industry overnight.

HB 2641 is expected to be brought up tomorrow, likely around 1:00pm in the Missouri Senate. If this bill advances, it could eliminate nearly every h**p product category in Missouri except beverages.

This is being presented as regulation, but the language tells a very different story. Even if federal law continues to allow a full range of h**p products, Missouri businesses could still be forced to remove gummies, vapes, flower and other products from their shelves. That means farmers losing markets, small businesses shutting down, employees losing jobs and consumers losing access to products they rely on every day.

We are now in the final weeks of the legislative session and HB 2641 has already been referred to the Senate Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee, where it has moved forward in the process.
Leadership appears to be pushing this bill forward with extended debate time to increase its chances of passage. While some Senators are prepared to stand up and fight, they cannot do it alone.

For years, the h**p industry has asked for reasonable regulation such as testing standards, age restrictions and enforcement against bad actors. What we are facing now is not regulation. It is prohibition.
