These photos and videos are from the Christmas Program held at 2:00 p.m. on December 19 in the Health Center Dining Room, organized by Spiritual Life Director Andrew Zhuehlke. The program featured a choir directed by Sara Bartlett, along with a skit written by Andrew that reflected on the common stressors of the season and encouraged everyone to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.

As Andrew shared, it was “a program that told the story of the birth of Christ from scripture and the singing of traditional Christmas hymns by myself and the congregation. The program also challenged attendees to reflect upon their relationship with Christ Jesus and ask them to put their faith in Him and invite Him into their heart as Lord and Savior and receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.” We were blessed with a large turnout, and the room was filled.

Yesterday’s music program with Spiritual Life Director Andrew Zhuehlke featured a variety of Christmas music. Residents enjoyed singing along to familiar favorites, while also listening to original pieces performed by Andrew. Dining Services provided miniature cinnamon rolls and wassail to complete the experience. It was a warm and uplifting gathering that brought the joy and spirit of the season to everyone in attendance.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of wine tasting at the United Presbyterian Home. Guests sampled handcrafted wines from 3 Sons Vineyard, made from premium cold-climate grapes grown on their scenic six-acre vineyard. The experience was perfectly complemented by a thoughtfully prepared charcuterie pairing from our UP Home kitchen. A relaxing and enjoyable event shared with great company. Thank you to 3 Sons Vineyard, our kitchen team, and everyone who joined us for making this event such a success.

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation's $197,044 grant to repair and restore our warm-water therapy pool will make a profound impact on the services we can deliver to our residents, therapy patients, and aquatic members. Thanks to their generosity, this unique pool can once again be used to complete therapy sessions, increase exercise options, and optimize pain management. We appreciate their commitment to innovative programs and services for the 55+ population.

WCRF is happy to share United Presbyterian Home in Washington has been awarded a fall grant of $197,044 grant!

This grant will help repair the warm-water therapy pool that was flooded during storms earlier this year. Once completed the pool will continue to provide a place residents, members, and therapy patients to complete an alternate method of exercise and enhance their physical and emotional health. Congrats!

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation is the nonprofit license holder for the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, which provides the entirety of its funding. In 2025 WCRF awarded 15 spring grants, 19 fall grants, 8 municipal, and 4 surprise grants totaling $6,466,279. Since 2006 WCRF has awarded over $76 million to local communities and non-profit organizations.
