Today is Read Across America Day, an annual reading motivation and awareness celebration founded by the National Education Association on March 2, 1998 in honor of the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. This is a day not just to celebrate, but to revel in and share the joy and happiness that comes from reading! Kneading More Bodyworks celebrates this day as another part of our mental and physical wellness.

Happy Women's History Month! We are celebrating women in massage therapy at Kneading More Bodyworks.
The first licensed massage therapist in North America was Agnes Bridget Forbes, who earned her license in 1916. She was an Ohio native who pioneered the use of massage as a medical treatment. Her career was enabled by the fact that Ohio was the first state to recognize massage therapy as a branch of medicine and introduce regulation.
We will share more great women in massage therapy history throughout the month!
