Thanks to the Camas Washougal Community Chest, we were able to build this wonderful gazebo for our residence and their family and friends this year. What a difference it makes for our residents to be able to enjoy our beautiful grounds despite the blazing sun or the rain. It also gives their family and friends a nice place to meet with them or just spend a little bit of time outside while visiting during sometimes difficult times. And finally, it gives our residence a protected area to gather for their evacuation plan in an emergency. We couldn’t have done this without the generosity of the Camas Washougal Community Chest!

Also thanks to our volunteers who helped to build it with our contractor, Douglas Lee of Action Craftworks LLC and for John Daly of Daly Handyman and Landscape Services who brought his team by to help us raise the roof.

Our residents enjoyed the Clark County fair this year. They watched dog, jumping competitions and a parrot show and enjoyed the air conditioning of the Commercial hall. It was very hot that day, but they had fun anyway.

Good Shepherd Manor residence had fun on a journey to Chehalis yesterday for a two hour train ride, followed by dinner at a 60s diner in Longview.
