I love the little notes you leave me.
And yes — I completely get the ‘hurts so good’ crowd.
It’s not for everyone…but who’s with me? 🙋‍♀️

Hi, I’m Regina.
I’ve had some new people join me recently, so I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.

I’m a licensed massage therapist in Wasilla, and I’ve always been curious about how our bodies hold stress, how they ask for support, and how things shift when we’re finally given space to slow down. My own journey of “chasing slow” — learning how to settle, soften, and listen inward — is what led me deeper into somatic work.

I’m currently a Somatic Experiencing® student, and a big part of what I do now is helping people remember the wisdom of their own bodies. My approach blends massage, nervous-system awareness, and simple embodiment practices to put the power back into your hands — not to fix you, but to help you reconnect with what’s already there.

If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been with me for a while, thank you — I’m grateful you’re here.

Still here. Still doing the thing. Come see me 💛

Your nervous system shapes the way you see yourself.

Safety and softness on the inside = a different version of you in the mirror.

Exhibit #692 in the case for best clients ever: surprise birthday goodies.

Birthdays live in the body as somatic memories - the smells, tastes, sounds, and feelings.

Even the smallest gestures - a candle, a kind word, a shared laugh - become imprints our nervous systems carry forward.

Here's to making those imprints joyful ones, for ourselves and for each other.

Celebrating this weekend 🥩
See you all next week ✨️

You guys are keeping me busy in the best way. Thank you for the kind words ❤️

✨ Newsletter Recap ✨

This month I shared about:

🍂 Physical blockages that sometimes don’t clear even after medical procedures (like sinuses, digestion, throat tension, pelvic floor).

🌊 How fascia and the nervous system are deeply connected — and why both layers matter in healing.

🌀 What Somatic Experiencing (SE) can do when the body is still “holding on.”

If you read this and thought “that sounds like me,” you’re not alone.

Another one for the Unconventional Client Feedback File. But how amazing is this? You know the state. Such deep relaxation that you start to feel like you're floating. Your body is weightless.

There’s no single tool, technique, or method that works for everyone.
Healing is a process, and it often takes multiple tools — sometimes at the same time, sometimes at different stages of your journey.

What works for one person might not work for another.
What worked for you a year ago might not be what you need today.
And even if my approach enriched your own journey, it may not be the right fit for your friends or family — and that’s okay.

You are unique — and so are your needs.
Let’s stop shaming ourselves for not making the same progress with the same cookie-cutter tools as everyone else, when all of our lives are a collection of extremely unique circumstances and nervous systems.

Healing isn’t about forcing yourself into someone else’s method.
It’s about finding the tools — and the pace — that work for you.

✨ What’s one tool that’s helped you feel more like yourself?

Recently, a new client asked me:
“What is trauma-informed massage?”

It’s not a technique — it’s an approach. Industry definitions agree it’s about creating a safe, collaborative, and empowering space for bodywork. It prioritizes safety, choice, trust, and pacing, and recognizes how trauma can live in the body.

In my practice, that means:

Listening to your body’s cues (something I do in every session)

Slowing the pace and adjusting the sequence to support your nervous system

If certain areas feel activating, we approach them in smaller, manageable steps — sometimes over several sessions — much like in Somatic Experiencing work

Ensuring you have choice and control over your session at all times

Who might benefit from a trauma-informed approach?

People with a history of trauma or PTSD

Those who feel anxious, hyper-alert, or disconnected during bodywork

Anyone who’s had a negative or overwhelming touch experience

People currently in therapy or doing somatic work

Trauma-informed massage isn’t what everyone wants or needs. If you do, say so when booking or on your intake form so I can plan your session accordingly.

📩 Questions? Drop them in the comments or message me.
🪷 Curious what this feels like? Book a session and experience it for yourself.
