📢Heads up, Seward Meridian Parkway travelers!

We will begin installing a median on Seward Meridian between Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Cottonwood Creek on Wednesday, August 13. During this work, the intersections at East Meridian Loop, North Meridian Place, and East Cottonwood Way will be CLOSED. You will need to access the areas behind the closure using the intersections with signals at E. Birch View Drive and E. Country Field Circle.

🟢All traffic is running on the west side of the road while crews continue constructing the east side of the road.
🔵When construction of the east side of the road is complete in September, you will no longer be able to take left turns at the non-signalized intersections due to the median. The median is being installed to improve safety and reduce the risk of crashes.

For all of the Tricare patients out there just wanted to clarify for you. This office has never stopped taking Tricare and it has always been in network. The changeover from Health Net Federal Services to Triwest Healthcare Alliance has been a nightmare for EVERYONE! (as I am sure you are all aware of). We are still working daily with Tricare to get everything fixed. We are FINALLY listed in the directory AND FINALLY listed as a primary care manager (PCM). NO ONE at Tricare has been able to tell us why they are telling our patients that we are not taking any new patients and so the patients are all being reassigned. (Besides you would all be established patients anyway so even if we were closed to NEW patients that wouldn't apply to you anyway🙄).
In addition, in case you haven't heard they have extended the waiver until the end of June now so regardless you can still come and see us and you won't be penalized.
Hope this helps clarify what has been happening (or not happening on Tricare's part). Feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Tricare has "promised" they are going to get this all straightened out soon on their end. I don't know about you but we aren't holding our breath on that. Just remember- it can only get better!

Hey all!

Just a head's up. The office is going to be closed the weeks of Christmas and New Year's (Dec. 23- Jan 3) so we can enjoy the holidays with our families. We'll be back open regular hours Jan. 6th.

Just an FYI post...pertussis is on the rise in Alaska. At LEAST 110 cases so far and over 50 in July alone. Can say with confidence this is not the actual number as most often only 1 member of the family is tested but the whole family has symptoms. When that happens only the tested person is counted.
With that being said, the DtaP and the TdaP vaccines provide coverage against pertussis so any child that needs, or you would like to get/started, on vaccinating just give a call. Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of their summer and looking forward to back to school😉

Okay folks this post is going to be PG-13😉....ready?
Parents it's time to start thinking about back to school and sports physicals. Every year there is always a last minute "Oh Mom ( or Dad) I need a sports physical by tomorrow or I can't go to tryouts/ practice". We do our best to accommodate as many as we can but there's only so many hours in a day. Charter schools also require a physical yearly as well. So...if your child(ren) attend a charter school or is even thinking about going out for sports please call early and avoid those last minute "emergencies".
Sorry about the whole PG-13 part but didn't want to "traumatize" those kiddos who don't want to think about going back to school 🤣

Is everyone else enjoying these "gently blowing breezes" as much as I am? As I sit here with my power off yet again I just wanted to let everyone know that the office is going to be closed tomorrow. With having lost power at the office the answering machine is off so you'll have to wait until Tuesday to get a hold of us. Answering service is available for emergency questions. Please stay safe and warm and off the roads if possible so emergency and power crews can help those in need!

Happy Holidays to one and all! During the holiday break the office is going to be open from 9am - 1pm so we can enjoy some of the holidays with our families as well. Please don't be afraid to leave a message anytime during these next 2 weeks and we WILL call you back. Enjoy your time and hopefully get rid of some of your stress!
