When it comes to an the feelings of helplessness can be a huge factor in your decision making. But it shouldn't be that way. You should be able to pause, rest, think through your situation before jumping to conclusions.

- What are my sources?
Am I getting a variety of answers or solutions? Chances are, if you keep hearing the same solution over and over and over again, your sources are one-sided and not helping you think creatively.

- What am I surrounded by?
What elements are contributing to my emotional well being right now? If you are in a high stress environment, those feelings can carry over and make decision-making even more challenging.

- Is there room for discussion?
Can I have a real conversation about the options - even with myself ? If you find yourself just shutting down alternatives, ignoring opinions or not exploring possibilities, its highly likely you are holding yourself back.
