Our Waldorf provider, Brittany, proudly represented Ideal Option at the 4th Annual Black Family Expo last week! Hosted by the Southern Maryland Chain Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the event brought together families for free health screenings, valuable resources, and educational sessions. We’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful community event!

As communities across the country work to strengthen crisis response systems, Ideal Option is proud to be part of the conversation in Eugene.

Thank you to Lookout Eugene-Springfield for highlighting our approach to supporting individuals experiencing mental health and substance use crises following the end of CAHOOTS services in the city.

Ideal Option's focus: expand peer navigation and connect people to the care, housing, and resources they need, when they need it most.

City officials are expected to choose by March 31 between two proposals for a pilot project aimed at filling some service gaps — but it may not end up looking like CAHOOTS 2.0.

"I can be the daughter, mother, coworker, and girlfriend I want to be," she shares. "And a person that is reliable and dependable."

Since enrolling at Ideal Option, Jessie has started a new job as a care coordinator and peer support specialist.

"Now I help others that were in my position," she says.

Jessie strongly believes that her life would not be where it is today without the help of Ideal Option and the treatment she has received.
