Let's talk about lip and tongue ties...such a rabbit hole discussion so I will start with the 1st step.

1: I never recommend that a baby gets a frenectomy before 3-4 weeks of age....because every part of their mouth/coordination is controlled by the nerves in the upper neck and cranium. IF, there is an imbalance it can be part of the cause of latch trouble and needs to be functioning optimally to reassess how much a "tie" is causing a problem.

Having your baby assessed soon after birth gives us information to help them latch, breastfeed and develop optimally and formulate a plan that will have the best outcome for you and babe!
