Brenda Redwine of Water Valley, Mississippi passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born on July 18, 1965, in Sardis to James and Lee Hawkins. Brenda was raised in Batesville, MS where she attended Panola County Schools. She later made her home in Water Valley, where she resided for the past 40 years and built a life centered on family and simple joys.

A devoted homemaker, Brenda found happiness in life’s quiet pleasures. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and collecting meaningful trinkets and jewelry—each piece holding a special memory or story. Above all, she treasured time spent with her loved ones.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kristie Duke of Water Valley; her son, Jordan Redwine of Water Valley; her mother, Lee Hawkins of Water Valley; her brothers, Tommy Hawkins and sister Amy Bell, both of Vancleave; her brothers, Carl Hawkins and John Hawkins of Water Valley; and her beloved granddaughters, Mikaela Beaver (William) and Baylee Duke of Water Valley.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Hawkins, and her son, Matthew Redwine.

A visitation with the family will be held at First Christian Church of Water Valley at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Zachary Beard of Water Valley, Mississippi, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Water Valley. He was born on June 29, 2005, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Zachary enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his cousins and family, who meant the world to him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Margaret Beard, and father, Jimmy Jennings, both of Water Valley, Mississippi; his grandparents, William Beard, Cecil Shaw, and Patricia Telford, also of Water Valley; and a host of cousins who were more like brothers and sisters: Ethan Battles, Brandon Beard, Edward Jennings II, Dexter Campbell, Dean Campbell, Kristian Jennings,Lilly Campbell, Mary Beard, and Courtney Jennings, all of Water Valley. He also leaves many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Zachary was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lucy Beard and Carla Jennings, and his great-grandfather, Jimmy Hawkins.

To celebrate his life, the family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Delay Road Baptist Church, 1164 Stephens Street, Water Valley, Mississippi 38965.

Burial will follow at Orwood Cemetery, County Road 333, Taylor, Mississippi 38673.m

Mrs. Tresa A. Melton of Grenada, Mississippi, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, February 8, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 9, 1961, to the late Oscar and Sarah Alldread.

Tresa was a devoted and loving wife to Jimmy Melton for more than 44 years. Together, they were blessed with two children: Sonya Anderson (Neal) of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Jesse Melton (Kelsey) of Dickson, Tennessee.

One of Tresa’s greatest joys in life was being “Mamaw” to her grandchildren: Neely Anderson (21), Taylor Anderson (18), Clay Melton (4), and Macie Melton (3).

She was also a beloved sister, aunt, stepmother, and friend to many. Tresa worked for several years at Pennaco Hosiery and later at Fred’s in Grenada, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind spirit.

When she wasn’t spending time with her family or working, Tresa could often be found tending to her cherished flowerbeds and garden. She loved birdwatching and embraced the beauty of a simple country life. Tresa brought joy to everyone she met through her warm smile and loving nature.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Sarah Alldread of Carroll County. She is survived by her siblings: Joy McCrary (Bill), Pam Blount, Nora Jean Miller (Scott), and Peggy Dearinger (Britt).

In accordance with Tresa’s wishes, the family has chosen to hold a private ceremony. The family sincerely appreciates all prayers, love, and condolences during this time.
