Here's an open call to the VT industry and supporters: Let's ask the Legislature to increase possession and purchase limits to 3 Ounces of Flower like New York (3oz) and Maine (2.5oz). Nobody should get arrested for possessing more than 1oz, and people should be able to buy more than 1oz at a time. This is especially critical for medical patients. Time to modernize our program... we already were late to the game with legalization, now time to catch up and create the best market in the Northeast that supports small farms, businesses and consumers alike.

🔥 Allow for legal public consumption (currently there is no legal way to consume in public!)

The proposed purchase limits are arbitrary and hurt small businesses and consumers alike. 3 years in the current system has been working yet they feel the need to fix a non existent problem that will only cause harm. This is not where CCB should be focused. If people can stock up on beer and cheese why not cannabis? Supporters of the plant please tell your reps to ask CCB to rescind this new unnecessary policy.

The new rule would assign "points" for products based on THC levels and other factors. Regulators said they'll consider the feedback they've gotten and may alter the proposal.

!!! free the b**g water !!!

Minnestota Governor Tim Walz signed a judiciary and public safety bill that has ended criminal penalties for b**g water. Previously, quantities of b**g water greater than four ounces could be considered legally equal to the pure version of whatever substance the b**g had been used to smoke.

Under the new bill, which retroactively applies to August 2023, that provision has been removed while specifying that a drug mixture “does not include the fluid used in a water pipe or any amount of a controlled substance that is dissolved in the pipe’s fluid.”

The legislation helps undo damage caused by a Supreme Court ruling from 2009 that stated b**g water could be legally considered a drug. Defense lawyers claim this created a loophole that “allowed rogue prosecutors to put people suffering from addiction in prison for smoking drugs out of a b**g.”
