What a great experience our Family and Friend Bingo Night was here at Southmayd Home. These fun activities bring generations together and give the ladies a chance to make new friends.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time and extended the generosity to donate to Southmayd Home during this year’s Give Local Event.

Southmayd Home is such a special place and has been providing a safe, affordable, home like environment for senior women for 128 years in Waterbury, Connecticut.

We thank you for helping us keep the Southmayd mission going for many years to come!

You can make a real difference!

April 21 & 22, Southmayd Home is participating in Give Local Greater Waterbury & Litchfield Hills — a two-day community giving event that brings our region together to support the nonprofits that matter most.

For over 125 years, Southmayd Home has provided senior women in Waterbury with a safe, warm, and affordable place to call home. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we reinvest every dollar back into the home — and we proudly subsidize nearly half the cost of living for our residents. That’s only possible because of the generosity of people like you.

For just 48 hours — April 21st at 7am through April 22nd at 7pm — you’ll have the chance to give directly to the women who call Southmayd home.

Since 1898, Southmayd Home has been a place where senior women in our community find safety, warmth, and belonging. 💛

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), every dollar we receive goes directly back into the home and into the care, meals, and community that our residents count on every day. We proudly subsidize approximately half the cost of living for our residents, because we believe no woman should have to choose between affordability and dignity.

That is what giving makes possible.
