💜Day Twelve of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" Academic Outcomes! ✏️🍎

Today we’re celebrating the positive academic outcomes of students who received School-Based Mental Health Therapy through Success Street. 🌟

When students have access to mental health support, they’re able to focus, learn, and thrive both emotionally and academically. The results speak for themselves! Students receiving therapy services have higher GPAs, miss fewer days of school, and experience fewer behavioral referrals compared to district averages.

At Success Street, we know that supporting students’ mental health is an essential part of helping them reach their full potential, inside and outside the classroom. 💪📚💛

💜 Day Ten of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" The Results Speak! 📈

The best measure of Success Street’s impact comes directly from the students we serve. Their feedback helps us understand how our services make a difference, and what truly matters most to them. 🌟

Through our Success Street Patient Satisfaction Survey, students shared their experiences, and the results speak volumes about the safe, welcoming, and supportive environment our team strives to create every day. 💬

Here’s what students told us:

💜 Day Nine of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" Voices From the Students🗣🎤

At the heart of Success Street’s work are the voices of the students we serve. Their experiences remind us why we do what we do, and how trusted, caring support can make a lasting difference. 🌟

Students share their feedback through our Success Street Patient Satisfaction Survey, giving us valuable insight into what’s working well and where we can continue to grow. Their comments help us shape programs, strengthen relationships, and ensure that every student who walks through our doors feels heard, respected, and cared for. 💬💜

Here’s what a few students had to say:

💭 “They gave me the trust that I need to feel safe and like I had someone to talk to in private.”
💭 “Anything I asked, they had answers.”
💭 “Learning about my options & healthy/unhealthy behaviors, getting help when in crisis.”
💭 “Thank you for changing my high school experience into more of a positive one. I appreciate everything you do!”
💭 “The whole team is full of the kindest people and I am truly grateful for them.”

Every comment is a reminder that when we listen to students — truly listen — we create space for connection, growth, and healing. 💛

We’re so thankful for every student who takes the time to share their voice and trust us with their stories. Their feedback helps us continue to grow stronger together. 🌿

💜 Day Eight of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" Healthcare Referrals! 💉👩‍⚕️

At Success Street, we know that supporting student wellness means looking at the whole picture: physical health, emotional wellbeing, and connection to care. 🌟

Our staff work every day to help students and families in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls school districts connect with trusted community medical providers for their healthcare needs. Whether it’s offering a referral, sharing prevention tools, or helping a student find the right kind of care, these efforts make a lasting impact on student health and success. 🩺💬

In Fiscal Year 2025, Success Street staff made an incredible difference through outreach and prevention efforts:
💜 107 health-related referrals to community providers
💜 219 Healthy Coping Kits distributed for stress management
💜 500 Va**ng Resource Kits provided to help students cut back or quit
💜 797 students, staff, and community members reached through child abuse prevention and education

Each of these actions represents a meaningful connection, one that helps students feel supported, empowered, and equipped to make healthy choices. 💪

We’re so grateful to our school and community partners in Waterloo and Cedar Falls for joining us in this important work to strengthen student wellness and access to care. Together, we’re helping every student build the skills and support they need to thrive. 🌿

Day Seven of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" Sexual Assault & Dating Violence Advocacy💓💗

No student should ever have to face trauma alone. At Success Street, we’re honored to partner with agencies that provide free, confidential, and compassionate support to students who have experienced s*xual assault, domestic violence, or dating violence. 💛

Through the dedicated work of Riverview Center, Amani Community Services, and Waypoint, students in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls school districts can access confidential advocacy and crisis support directly where they learn. These advocates are trained to listen, believe, and empower, helping students navigate next steps, connect with resources, and begin to heal in a safe and supportive environment. 🌿

In Fiscal Year 2025, our partners provided 148 advocacy sessions, serving 18 students across both districts. Every session represents hope, safety, and the power of community care. 💬💜

We are deeply grateful to Riverview Center, Amani Community Services, and Waypoint for their unwavering dedication to student safety and wellbeing. Their work reminds us that support, compassion, and healing truly thrive when we work together. 🌟

💜 Day Six of "Two Weeks of Triumph!" Substance Use Education! 💊

At Success Street, we’re committed to meeting students where they are: offering care, guidance, and support for the challenges they may face, including those related to substance use. 🌱

Through our partnership with Pathways Behavioral Services, Ashton Kapelanski, a dedicated adolescent Substance Use Counselor, provides confidential education and counseling services to students in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls school districts. These sessions give students a safe and nonjudgmental space to talk openly, set goals, and access tools for healthier choices and habits. 💬💪

In Fiscal Year 2025, Ashton provided an incredible 280 counseling sessions, reaching 112 students who were experiencing challenges related to substance use. Each session represents a step toward healing, growth, and empowerment to help students build resilience and take positive steps for their future. 🌟

We’re deeply grateful to Pathways Behavioral Services and Ashton for their dedication to student wellness and their compassion in helping young people navigate life’s toughest moments. 💜
