Our Story
Built in 2014, NorthCrest Specialty Care is designed for providing excellent health care for seniors in a homelike setting. Located in the northern corridor of Waterloo, our dedicated staff work as a team with each patient’s primary physician and family to develop a personal plan of care.
Our new Rehab to Home wing offers each patient a private room with a private bath, cable television, and Wi-Fi access in addition to state-of-the-art therapy programs in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. For outpatient clients, we have an easy-access, private entrance to make your trip and therapy appointment as convenient as possible. For all of our residents, NorthCrest offers an in-house beauty salon, a soothing whirlpool spa with entertainment center featuring a built-in TV, a 12-seat theater, dental, podiatry and psychiatric services on site.
Residents have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities to keep them engaged and even entertained. “Elvis” frequently stops by to serenade and rock the house. Area residents often bring in their pets – turtles, ponies, goats – for an afternoon visit. The outdoor, fenced-in patio is ideal as an afternoon reading spot or picnic. Shopping trips to Wal-Mart are routinely scheduled. Seasonal parties are held for residents and families and friends.
