Caritas team members are always innovating better ways to serve our communities. Recently, the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) called on our own Billing Operations Manager Abigail York to help improve their billing and payment processes to ensure that foster parents and service providers are paid accurately and on time throughout the state.

We’re proud to share that as of October 1, 2025, HSS has joined forces with Caritas Family Solutions.

By coming together, we’re building something even stronger. As we expand the services we offer and strengthen support for families and individuals, we can build a stronger future for Southern Illinois — helping people across our service areas live fulfilled lives.

Though the HSS name will soon retire, our mission lives on and grows even deeper through Caritas Family Solutions.
