To our neighbors, clients, and community:
Our hearts go out to everyone in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and surrounding communities as people continue to grapple with fear, tension, and uncertainty in the wake of recent events. The loss of life and the daily stress felt by immigrants, refugees, communities of color, families, and so many others have left many feeling unsafe, overwhelmed, and uncertain about tomorrow.
We see the emotional weight this moment carries… the anxiety that comes from hearing sirens, the fear of leaving home, and the deep worry for loved ones. These experiences can be traumatic, even for those watching from afar. During times like these, it’s okay to acknowledge how heavy this feels. It’s okay to feel grief, anger, sadness, or exhaustion. These reactions are valid, and they matter.
If you or someone you care about is struggling, whether because of these events or simply the stress of everyday life, please know that you are not alone. Our team is here to offer support with respect, compassion, and care. Supporting one another is an important part of caring for our community’s mental health.
Lastly, be gentle with yourself and others, check in on loved ones, create space for open conversations, listen without judgment, and reach out for support when you need it. Remember, connection is a powerful form of healing. Small acts of care can make a lasting difference.
