Today, Friday 01/30/2026, there’s a nationwide call for a National Shutdown in protest of ICE and the systems that fund it. As a small, q***r, and immigrant-owned local business, Gaze Optical cannot afford to close our doors, but we still believe in fighting for change and standing up for our communities.
We will be donating a portion of our sales today to the LUCE Immigrant Justice Network of MA [], a local organization with a deep commitment to keeping all of our communities safe through grassroots organizing, information sharing, and mutual aid.
Times are hard — but we will persevere, together.
One last thing that your friendly neighborhood eye care provider wants you to know: please don't wear contact lenses to a protest. Chemical weapons may bind to your contact lenses, putting you at risk for permanent vision loss.
