The Multiple Procedure Payment Reduction (MPPR) policy was first implemented in 2011, cutting Medicare reimbursement to Physical Therapists significantly over the last 15 years. On top of the reduction that is applied to our payment, CMS Medicare has repeatedly issued additional cuts to our most common Physical Therapy codes (services) most years in the name of budget neutrality. These multiple year cuts are not balanced by the occasional small percentage increase. At the same time, they are requiring additional tasks (paper work), electronic medical software, and patient outcomes tracking that were not required prior to 2011. Other insurance companies have followed suit, causing more Physical Therapists to leave the insurance networks and switch to cash based clinics, ultimately limiting patient access to Physical Therapy in their area. Physical Therapists spend an average of one hour with a patient, one-on-one and deserve to be reimbursed fairly for their education, time, and quality of life services. Please contact your local Congress members to show your support for eliminating MPPR.

Jake Tesch is a Fellow of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. He completed extensive, advanced post-professional training in manual therapy, representing the highest level of clinical expertise in the field of Physical Therapy. Of the 278,000 Physical Therapists in the US and Canada, only 12%, or approximately 35,000, are Fellows of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy.

As a Fellow, Jake holds the highest level of expertise available for diagnosing and treating complex cases of orthopedic, spinal and joint disorders. He is able to fully assess your problem with a different lens than someone who is not a Fellow. This means that YOU get the highest quality treatment in Watertown for YOUR complex musculoskeletal issues.

Over the years, all five of our dedicated Physical Therapists have achieved board certifications through the American Physical Therapy Association, a testament to their commitment to providing top-notch care. Our founder, Jake Tesch, has also earned his Fellowship in Manual Orthopedic Physical Therapy through the American Academy of Manual and Orthopedic Physical Therapists, further elevating the standard of our services.

From our humble beginnings, we have grown to serve five wonderful communities. We are excited to continue our mission of delivering exceptional physical therapy to the region for many more years to come.
