Arlene Kannas, age 100, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at a care center in Watertown, SD. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.

Visitation will be at the St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Watertown on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.

Delores Falla age 97 of Arlington passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Dakota Sun Assisted Living in Volga, South Dakota.

Funeral services for Delores Falla will be 1:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2025, at Lake Whitewood Church with Pastor Hannah Fleming officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Whitewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel in Arlington, SD.

Thinking of the Wayne Leiner family during this difficult time.

Wayne C. Leiner, a loving father, grandfather and devoted husband, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Watertown, South Dakota, at the age of 89. He died after 3 years of declining health and dementia at the Village at Harmony Hills, Memory Care Unit.

A memorial service will be announced in the future.

Donald (Don) John Neu, age 85, of Erwin, SD, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on December 14, 2025, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Lake Preston Lutheran Church. The service will be livestreamed and recorded via the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel website.

Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Lake Preston Lutheran Church.

Burial at West Bethany Cemetery in Erwin, SD, following the lunch at Lake Preston Lutheran Church.

Lawrence L. Furney, 79, of Lake Poinsett, SD, passed away shortly before midnight on December 12, 2025, at Jenkins Living Center in Watertown, SD. He was a cherished educator, a devoted husband, and a dedicated community citizen.

A visitation and prayer will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Crawford-Osthus (formerly Johnson-Henry) Funeral Chapel in Arlington, SD.

There will be no burial at this time.

Thinking of the Pastor Mark R. Guthmiller family during this difficult time.

Pastor Mark Roman Guthmiller of Watertown, SD was called home by his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 70 years of age after a 5 1/2 year battle with metastatic prostate cancer. A Christian Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, SD, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. The service will be live streamed on Trinity’s You Tube channel: https://www.youtube.com//streams

Visitation will be held at Great Plains Lutheran High School Auditorium, in Watertown, SD, on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. and prior to services at the church on Friday.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen SD. Everyone is welcome to stay for fellowship and reminiscing with the family when they return from the cemetery.

Thinking of the James "Jim" Farrell family during this difficult time.

James "Jim" M. Farrell, age 81, of De Smet, SD, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at his home in De Smet, SD. Memorial services officiated by Pastor Tia Felberg will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the United Methodist Church in De Smet, SD.

Visitation will be held in the hour prior to services at the church. There will be no lunch or burial following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the De Smet Fire, Rescue, and Ambulance in Jim’s memory.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Arlington Methodist Church.

Burial will be in the Badger City Cemetery, Badger, SD. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Arlington Methodist Church.
