HealthReach staff team up for patient safety!

Last week, staff at our health centers wore gear from their favorite sports teams to raise awareness for patient safety and encourage discussions about what we can do to continue providing safer, more effective care. Two sites even created their own teams, Team Bingham and Team Lovejoy, and wore HealthReach gear local to their health centers to show their pride!

This year, Patient Safety Week encouraged care teams, families, and other health center staff to team up in communication and collaboration to provide positive patient outcomes, no matter what a patient's needs may be!

We were thrilled to attend Husson University's Career Fair this week!

We are also proud to highlight the great work that Kaylei Day, Husson University Graduate and HealthReach Communications Specialist - Designer, does for HealthReach. Her proactive personality and passion for her work have made her a fantastic addition to our organization. Thank you, Kaylei, for helping to ensure that HealthReach reaches anyone who might benefit from our services with your thoughtful designs and creative ideas!

It was great to see Graphic & Visual Design alum Kaylei Day ’24 representing HealthReach Community Health Centers at Husson’s Career Fair today. She designs marketing materials for the organization and spoke with current student Ryan Pelletier about her career journey.

Now working in the field she loves, Kaylei’s story shows how creativity can turn into a meaningful career. 💼 🙌

What is an SBHC?

School-Based Health Centers offer convenient, full-patient care right in the schools. There are nearly 4,000 SBHCs in the United States, over 20 of which are right here in Maine! SBHCs can provide all the care that a primary care office is able to, with the benefit of less class time missed, less travel time for parents & guardians, and providers that work alongside the school nurse to offer necessary medical support. Our mission is keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn!
