When safety nets unravel, people don’t just lose services—they lose stability.

Recent disruptions have left many Maine families unsure how they’ll pay for food, housing, or medication. For some, those supports were the only thing standing between stability and crisis.

At Kennebec Behavioral Health, we are seeing the impact every day. People come to us not just for therapy or medication—but for help holding their lives together. Our teams step in quickly, connecting individuals to housing supports, employment resources, crisis services, and care coordination when every hour matters.

Your gift to our year-end appeal ensures we are ready—when systems fail and neighbors need immediate support—to help people move from crisis to stability, and from stability to hope.

We have an update on the KBH food cupboards. We have moved the KBH food cupboard in Augusta from 66 Stone Street to 10 Caldwell Road (just across the street). These food cupboards are free, on-site, and available to any client or staff in need. 🍞🥫

Simply ask a KBH staff person for help, and they will guide you to that location's cupboard. We also want to thank everyone who has donated (staff and outside businesses) to these cupboards so far.

We hope this resource will continue to help support members of our community.

It's a Maine Cabin gingerbread house! We have a video from our gingerbread house contest that ended on Monday. This gingerbread house was built by our Waterville Med Clinic and Outpatient team and they went with a Maine cabin theme with lights, an ice rink, and animal corner. They really went all out and we love it!

We had 12 other teams at KBH participate, so be on the lookout for their creations!
