470 head Preg checked. Short video of one of the 10 sets of twins, we found six of them viable three sets that only one of the fetus was viable and one set of triplets with only one calf viable
4 open cows checked that had two viable CL’s so possibly more twins to come!

- Muffins Mary Lee dropped off — arguably the highest performing group of the day

Jokes aside, this is a pretty good visual reminder of something we talk about a lot:

Not every donor, system, or collection is going to look the same — and that’s okay.
Biology has variation. Good programs learn how to work with it, not fight it.

Some donors excel in IVF.
Some shine in conventional flush work.
Some just need the right management and consistency to show you what they can do.

And sometimes… you just need good people and good muffins in the lab.

We’re grateful for both.

Attention all Dogwood Genetics customers, friends etc
Our email has been hacked. Multiple spoofing emails have been sent acting like they are coming from Dogwood or myself. Question anything emailed that you get. Most come from email that are similar but not our email. Most are off by one letter. Call or text me or the office in regards to anything emails ask you to do. We take this very seriously and will be bringing additional security measures to our contact and communication. Thank you for your patience and support.

Caution!!!! Have had several clients contact us about bogus emails coming from a similar email but not dogwoodgeneticsllc@gmail requesting ACH payment and or credit card number. Never ever give any info without direct contact without office please. Thank you

I think it’s time to go back to school. Ummm. Recently a family member and a friend asked me why I blocked them. I was confused. I checked just in case and there were no blocked people on my list. Then I see this. Hmmm, I am not the only one. So now I am fixing my blocked posts. I wondered where everybody had been! This is good to know. It's ridiculous to have over 300 friends and only 25 are allowed to see posts.
I ignored this post earlier because I didn’t think it worked. It WORKS!! I have a whole new news feed. I’m seeing posts from people I haven’t seen in years.

Exciting times here at Dogwood Genetics. This past Tuesday ABAC’s Special Topics Class( specific focus on Reproductive technologies used in animal breeding) stopped by to see what we do here at Dogwood Genetics. It was IVF day. Madison , Sarah& Grace showed them all in the in and out of the process here at Dogwood Genetics. Our brand new observation window and video screen were put to use to help show the process. Here at Dogwood we are committed to helping and working with tomorrow’s reproductive specialists. Ms Cerny we enjoyed our time with your class! y’all stop by anytime.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Dr. Russ Page. Russ passed away on Oct 25th from cancer. Russ had a tremendous effect on who Dogwood Genetics is and why we are here. Dr Page was one of my professors at UGA. He was an amazing instructor and mentor. His palpation class was a highlight for most of his students. He and Dr. Stan Coley( also a UGA graduate ) are responsible for a large portion of the reproductive improvement in the purebred cattle business, especially here in the southeast. Russ was very passionate about the cattle business and embryo transfer and semen collection. When Clements Livestock services agreed to Purchase Reproduction Progress, Russ had certain terms and requirements. Agreeing to those Dogwood Genetics was formed and Dr. Page worked with us for a while to assure success. Dogwood Genetics moved into the Reproduction Progress facility in August of 2013. We still to this day run across some of Russ’s clients as well as many of the students he mentored as they worked their way through UGA. We will forever be grateful to Russ for his abilities, his mentorship and his drive to get it right! Joan thank you for sharing your wonderful husband with so many of us.

Pictured below are ovaries from two donors. It is quite apparent that one o***y is significantly larger than the other and has more follicles present. When purchasing donors for embryo production please take into consideration their abilities to produce multiple oocytes that will meet your needs. This will help production meet expectations. These production capabilities can be evaluated by your embryologists prior to preforming procedures possibly before purchase. FYI.
