SWANN CLOSING

This is a bittersweet announcement for many. Swann Pharmacy has been officially purchased by Zac and RexAnn Brack - CityRx,LLC. The last day operation was 10/20/23. All patient rx, insurance, tax info, etc. will be seamlessly transferred to City Pharmacy in Watonga - ph 580-623-4545.

On behalf of myself, our family and our employees, we want give a big thank you to our patients and patrons of Swann Pharmacy. You have been a true blessing to us! It has been an honor, a privilege and our pleasure that you have allowed us to serve you since 1969. Wow! 1969 was a very important and coincidental year for the Kourt, Swann and Alexander families, and the communities of Watonga and Thomas, at least pharmacy-wise.

- My parents Randall and Patricia Kourt purchased Thomas Drug, on the corner of Main and Broadway, in Thomas from the G.L. And Leona Alexander family in 1969.
- G.L. and Leona purchased City Pharmacy in Watonga from Joe Moad in 1969.
- Dale and Linda Swann established Swann Pharmacy in Watonga in 1969. Swann Pharmacy in Watonga and Geary were ultimately under the co-ownership of both Dale and Don Swann after Don and Gerri Swann established a Swann Pharmacy location in Geary in the early 70s. Swann Pharmacy in Geary merged with Swann Pharmacy in Watonga in the mid-2000s.

Zac, RexAnn and their children have established a pharmacy practice at City Pharmacy that’s second to none. Having both a professional and personal relationship with each patient is the key to their success. I cannot think of a better family than the Brack family to carry on this pharmacy tradition that has served Watonga and surrounding communities for over 50 years.

Watonga, including the surrounding Blaine Co. area, is a great place to call ‘home!’

The merging of the Pharmacies update.

We have loved serving you in this place!! It might be two weeks or so. But the same faces will love seeing and serving you in the City Pharmacy!! Minus me. I finally will be fired! We will bring your Medicines to your car if the drive through is busy!! Or come in and see us!!
Decorizing Your Life will have full reign of the Swann Building until after the first of the year or longer! Lots more room for all the home decor , furniture, craft products ect!!

Coming Soon!

Two Watonga pharmacies – Swann Pharmacy and City Pharmacy – are changing ownership. Mark Kourt previously owned the two businesses, along with Thomas and Canton drug stores. He has agreed to sell the Watonga businesses to longtime employees Zac and Rexann Brack.

Our RX computer software vendor is experiencing technical problems with the 'your rx is ready to pick up' texting notification system. They hope to have it fixed soon.

We are saying goodbye to Leslie today. She has a new job in Woodward as a pharmacy technician. You might still be seeing her around Watonga for a while. Her and Brady’s wedding and their official move isn’t until the end of October. We sure will miss seeing her in Swanns!

We are so sad to see her go, but excited for her new upcoming adventures. Our head technician Leslie Macias is moving to Woodward after she gets married in October. But she received a job offer, and is starting as a technician in Woodward on Monday.

Come say your goodbyes to Leslie Thursday (today) 8am-3pm, and on her last day Friday 8am to 5pm. Congratulations and you will be missed!

We will be closing at 5:00pm Thursday, July 20th to celebrate City Pharmacy’s pharmacist and his family at their son’s wedding.
