💙 Supporting families starts at home.
At last week’s meeting, the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners proclaimed April 20-25 as Home Visitors Week, recognizing the important role home visiting programs play in helping families build strong, healthy futures.
Through Healthy Families Highlands, the County’s home visitors work one-on-one with parents – offering guidance, support and resources during some of life’s most important early moments. From building parenting confidence to supporting child development and safety, these connections can make a lasting difference for both parents and children.
This week of recognition highlights the impact of those dedicated professionals, from home health aides to in-house nurses, who meet families where they are and help them thrive.
If you are pregnant or have a baby under 3 months and could use extra support, help is available. Call 863-402-6628 to learn more about Healthy Families Highlands.
