Guess our vision therapy tool🫣

This simple, but powerful vision therapy tool helps train the eyes to work together as a team. It builds convergence skills, improves depth perception, and strengthens eye coordination, all with a string and a few colorful beads!

If you said the Brock String… you were right!

It might look basic, but don’t let it fool you. Big visual achievements can come from small tools!

Wachs Mental Minus

This exercise is a powerful way to challenge the visual system and strengthen focusing skills. Wachs Mental Minus works by training the eyes and brain to clear up blur without immediately relying on extra lens power. It encourages active focusing, better control of accommodation or your eyes’ ability to focus.
Stronger focusing skills can mean less eye strain, better clarity at near, and improved comfort with reading and screen time.

Like many vision therapy activities, it may look simple, but it’s designed to build coordination in a very intentional way.

Vision therapy isn’t just for kids!

When people hear “vision therapy,” they often think it’s only for children, but that’s not the case. Teens and adults can benefit too! Vision therapy can help with things like eye strain, headaches, difficulty focusing, double vision, dizziness, and even visual issues after a concussion.

Whether you’re struggling with long hours on a screen, noticing reading fatigue, or feeling like your eyes just aren’t working together the way they should, vision therapy can help retrain the visual system at any age. Your brain and eyes can still learn new skills, no matter how old you are.

Vision therapy is personalized, goal-driven, and designed to improve how your eyes work together in everyday life. Comfortable vision isn’t just a childhood goal. It’s a lifelong one.

Saccades are the quick, precise eye movements we use to shift our focus from one point to another, like when we’re reading or scanning a busy environment. Strong saccadic skills help with accuracy, attention, and flow.

One of our go-to activities to strengthen these skills is the Saccade Dots exercise! Patients move both eyes and hands along the sequence of dots to strengthen attention and tracking, use of memory, and promote equal use of left and right hands and eyes

These small, controlled movements add up to big improvements in everyday tasks! Our therapy team guides each step to help patients build confidence and skill along the way!

One of our favorite vision therapy exercises is deceptively simple: just a whiteboard covered in lines and circles. But don’t let the simplicity fool you, this activity is a powerhouse for strengthening binocular coordination, boosting body awareness, and expanding peripheral vision all at once.

During the activity, patients make symmetrical movements with their hands or arms while keeping their eyes on a central focal point. The visual system learns to stay steady in the center while still noticing what’s happening in the periphery. This combination of movement and focus helps the eyes work together more efficiently and trains the body to stay aligned and controlled.

Kids love it because it feels like a game. Adults love it because they can feel their visual system getting sharper. And we love it because it delivers real results. Small tool, big impact!

The Marsden Ball is a simple yet powerful tool used in our vision therapy exercises to strengthen eye-hand coordination, tracking, focusing, and visual attention!

During the exercise, patients follow the swinging ball with their eyes and identify letters, numbers, or symbols printed on it. This helps train the eyes and brain to work together more efficiently, improving binocular coordination, reading skills, and spatial awareness.

It’s a fun and engaging way to challenge the visual system and build the strong visual foundation needed for clear, comfortable vision!
