The Dementia Deck is a collaboration with . We took inspiration from Compassion and Choices “Dementia Values and Priorities Tool” to create 42 thoughtful questions.

The aim of The Dementia Deck is to help people talk about what matters most to them if they are living with dementia and what their preferences for care and treatment would be.

While we can’t know exactly how we might feel in the future, we can begin now giving our family members information about how we think we will feel.

These conversations can help guide decisions in the future, potentially reducing conflict and chaos within our families.

We also recommend completing the Dementia Values and Priorities Tool on the Compassion and Choices website. This tool is a form of dementia directive that can attach to your advance directive to help guide your family in decision making if you can’t make decisions for yourself.
