Stay active, my friends. Your goal should be 150 to 300 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous exercise per week. I find at my big age, I have to exercise more on the high end to see results. If you cannot meet these guidelines yet, start somewhere. You got this. Putting in work and shedding the fat. I really considered GLP-1 or Ozempic because the weight was not coming off. But honestly, it was me. Baby, This was me in November and this is me today. I have been putting in some work spiritually, mentally and physically and it is finally paying off. Being a woman on this fitness journey dealing with hormones and peri-menopause, it felt like my body was betraying me. But I realized that I needed to challenge myself, sleep more, change up my exercise, manage my stress, and eat better.
I started over and here are the results.God literally is honoring my faith and work Input in.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Our Story

After seeing how living an unhealthy lifestyle can cut life short in my family, I realized that losing weight and getting fit was something I needed to do. However, I did not maintain a fit life and after the birth of my second daughter, I was at my heaviest and remained that way until my 30s. I did not decide to take serious action until I experienced an extremely rough patch in my marriage. At that point, I was struggling with low self-esteem and generally unhappy about where my life was headed. I walked into Weight Watchers as a member in January 2005 and never looked back. I was able to change my lifestyle and reach my goal weight. Because of my leadership and participation in the weekly meetings, I was asked to work for the company. As a weight watchers leader/instructor for five years, I learned so much and embraced my ability to be able to motive others to be healthy. I realized that since I changed my life through fitness, I could affect change in others through my instruction and example. With the support of my pastor, I started my business and began holding fitness classes at my church and eventually signed up to become a Team Beachbody Fitness coach. Personally, I have worked on my Spiritual well-being and emotional healing during this journey and have stressed to my members that it is important to nurture all three parts, Spirit, Soul and Body to really be healthy. Since I started my health journey, I have helped over 100 people start and/or continue their fitness journey through fitness classes, workshops, inspirational speaking and fitness coaching. I also conduct online groups and offer fitness products and programs. Coming into 2018, I will be releasing my first book Making Fit Happen For Me sharing my story of how my life has been changed through becoming Spiritually, Mentally and Physically fit.
