George Papas, age 78, beloved husband of Silvia (nee Potamedis). Preceded in death by his parents Demetrios and Georgia Papathanasiou. Dedicated brother to Vasiliki (Nick) Cosmos and Haralambos Papathanasiou. Preceded in death by siblings Katherine (Nick) Vambakas, Despina (Argyri) Demerakos, Stelios, Christos, Vasiliki and Magdalena Papathanasiou. Proud uncle to Gus Cosmos, the late Sam Cosmos, Mary (Peter) Granato and their children and many others Fond friend to many.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 1400 O’Plaine Rd. Libertyville. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville would be appreciated.

George was born on September 14th, 1947 and passed away on October 25th, 2025 at the age of 78

Gonzalo Villalpando Lopez, 47, of Waukegan, peacefully passed away on October 19, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1978 in La Luz, Michoacan, Mexico.

Gonzalo was an avid Cubs and Bulls fan, would often attend games on his free time. He was fun, outgoing and loved hosting events. He was a great bartender, awesome cook, and loved making pastries for family and friends. He enjoyed going on walks with his fur babies, Marley & Gregory. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Antonia & Gonzalo Villalpando; siblings, Leticia, Juanita, Salvador, Laura, Trini, Daniel, Gabriel, and Lupita; 25 nieces and nephews; and his dog babies Marley & Gregory; extended family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Martha.

Gonzalo’s visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th, 2025 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085. His funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 31st, 2025 at 10:00 am at Most Blessed Trinity - Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085. Jordan J. Jeffery, born December 27, 2006, of Puerto Rican and African American descent, passed away on October 16, 2025.

Jordan was known for his fearless spirit and his passion for living life to the fullest. He
was never afraid to take risks and constantly pushed himself and those around him to
reach their highest potential. Intelligent, ambitious, and deeply faithful, Jordan was a
true believer in God and carried himself with the strength and purpose of a leader.

He had a way of lighting up every room he entered. With his bright smile and positive
energy, he made people feel seen, valued, and uplifted. Jordan touched everyone he
met through his kindness, his joy, and his unshakable belief in others. Whether on the
field or simply living his life, Jordan embodied leadership, courage, and heart.

He is survived by his mother, Johanna L. Rivera; stepfather, Edward Torres; three siblings, Jazlin McPherson, Angel L. Rivera, and Joel L. McPherson; grandmother, Myriam Hill; as well as aunts, cousins, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Angel L. Rivera; great-grandparents, Cruz Baez, Luis Rivera, Luz Maria Rosario, and Felix Hill; and cousins, William A. Rivera, Sergio J. Berrios, and Daniel R. McPherson.

His visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, located at 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.
