This honor recognizes organizations that go above and beyond to improve the lives of older adults. This award is presented to only ONE organization in the entire state per year, and we are beyond excited that this year we were chosen. This Cuisine Cafe' program will be offered once per month as we travel to locations from Chicago to Milwaukee for the best food options available. This month we will be traveling to Nolan's Restaurant at Illinois State Beach Hotel. Nolan's is a comfortable restaurant with a lakeside setting offering burgers, seafood, fish and chips and steaks.

Limited seating is available. Call to register now. The trip departs from the Patricia A. Jones Center (414 South Lewis Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085) at 11:30 am and returns by 3:00 pm. Fee of $36, includes round trip transportation, meal, and drink.

This festive outing includes visits to 4 - charming bakeries and specialty shops, where you'll enjoy delicious holiday treats, samples, and time to browse. Between stops, your guide will share stories and the history of Christmas traditions from cultures around the world, including German, Polish, Irish, Italian, Greek, and Chinese. A generous sit-down lunch is included, offering a relaxing break during your day. You'll also enjoy a visit to see the beautiful Macy's Christmas Great Tree, an iconic downtown tradition.
