CHRC is honored to collaborate with Jesus Name Apostolic Church to feed the community for the holidays and the days ahead. And a huge shout-out to our amazing volunteers—nobody lifted a bag alone, but everyone left lifted by their smiles.

On November 12th, 2025 our Site Coordinator had the opportunity to attend the Second Annual Firearm Restraining Order Convening at Rosalind Franklin University 🔍📚, hosted by the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office.

We learned the importance of Firearm Restraining Orders (FRO) and Karina’s Law, how to properly use these tools, and why continuing to share knowledge and strengthen the systems already in place is vital for keeping our communities safe. 🛡️💛

CHRC had the best time yesterday with our seniors at the Patricia A. Jones Building!
We brought bingo to them — but they brought all the laughs to us! 🎉 Our seasoned friends don’t play when it comes to bingo, and they absolutely loved the prizes and snacks. 🏆🍪

We’re already looking forward to our next visit — not just to bring resources, but to continue offering quality time, connection, and a heartfelt reminder of just how valuable they are. ❤️
