Nephrology Associates is seeking to add a Medical Assistant to their growing Team. This position will require travel throughout Waukesha County based on provider clinic schedules and staffing needs (mileage is reimbursed).
Travel locations for this position will include -Watertown -Fort Atkinson -Oconomowoc -Mukwonago -Brookfield.
This is a Full Time position.
Responsibilities include: CLINICAL (40%) 1. Es**rt patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart 2. Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant/nurse practitioner. 3. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, and prepare sterilization as required. 4. Assist in collection of blood, urine and tissue samples for lab testing. 5. Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.
CLERICAL (60%) 1. Performing check in/check out and scheduling functions. 2. Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment. 3. Triage or take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls. 4. Conduct appointment reminder phone calls. 5. Other office procedures including mailing, faxing, scanning, etc. 6. All other duties as assigned by practice administrator.
Required education:
• High school or equivalent
Required experience:
• Healthcare: 1 year
Required language:
• English
Required licenses or certifications:
• Preferred - MA Certification
• Preferred - EPIC experience
• Driver's License
