Our clinicians are trauma-informed, person-centered in their approach and believe that recovery is possible. Currently, we are accepting referrals from individuals enrolled in their county’s CCS program or private pay. Our clinicians will see consumers age 4 and older. We provide outpatient therapy in southern and western Wisconsin and Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe and Sauk Counties. We currently accept TRICARE, Anthem, United Healthcare, WEA Trust, WPS, Medicaid and GHC Eau Claire. We also have private pay options. We have virtual and in-person appointments available.

JoAnn will be co-leading TWO breakout sessions focused on the effects of trauma from a non-sworn perspective — with a special spotlight on Yoga For First Responders. 🧘‍♀️💙

🌿 Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we honor the histories, cultures, and ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island.

This day is a time to listen, reflect, and acknowledge the deep roots and resilience of Native communities — past, present, and future.

We recognize the strength it takes to heal in the face of historical trauma, and we hold space for the stories, traditions, and wisdom that have endured through generations.

May we all commit to learning, unlearning, and honoring Indigenous voices not just today — but every day.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and we want to pause and say this clearly:

💚 Your mental health matters.
💬 Your story deserves to be heard.
🌱 Healing is possible—and you don’t have to walk that path alone.

At Trailways Counseling, we believe everyone deserves a safe space to explore, process, and grow. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or continuing it, we’re here to walk beside you—with compassion, without judgment.

Today (and every day), let’s check in on each other. Let’s speak more openly. And let’s remember:
✨ It’s okay to ask for help. It’s brave to take care of yourself.

From all of us at Trailways Counseling—
We see you. We support you. You matter.

🧘‍♀️🚓🚒🚑 Way to go, JoAnn! 🚑🚒🚓🧘‍♀️

JoAnn just wrapped up Yoga For First Responders (YFFR) Training in Blue Springs, MO at the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (CJCFPD) — and we couldn’t be more proud!

This training is all about helping first responders manage stress, build resilience, and stay mentally and physically strong using job-specific yoga and mindfulness techniques.

YFFR’s mission says it best:
“To provide first responders, military personnel, and medical providers with traditional yoga training that is job-specific and culturally informed to effectively process stress, build resilience, and enhancing performance”

JoAnn’s passion for supporting those who serve our communities every day really shines through. We’re excited to see how she brings this back to make a difference! 💙💪

As you and your teen prepare for going back to school 🏫, consider what actions you and your family 👪can take to protect their mental health 🧠. Reducing the time teens spend on social media 🤳can be difficult. It can be beneficial to provide and encourage interesting alternatives to scrolling. Be a role model whenever possible to show reduced 📉 phone use and participation in other activities.
