Thank you to everyone who attended the 4th Annual Caregiver Roadmap Resource Event yesterday at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County !

We were honored to be invited to this important event that supports caregivers in our community. It was wonderful to connect with so many caring individuals throughout the day.

💙We're so proud of our BHC team for creating and delivering an incredible workshop series for student development professionals across Wisconsin!

Taylor Krueger, B.A., Haley Kramer, B.A., and Amy McGuire, B.S. developed "Mental Health Trends in College Students," a comprehensive workshop designed to help campus staff better support students' mental health and wellbeing.

Each personalized workshop covered mental health trends impacting college students, practical coping skills, time management techniques, the six domains of wellbeing, and even topics like compassion fatigue and boundary setting. Attendees received printable toolkits, resources, and the full presentation to take back to their campuses.

It's been a fantastic way to connect with colleges across Wisconsin and support the professionals who are working hard to help students thrive. Great work, team!

💡 Tips for Managing Panic Attacks or Racing Thoughts

When anxiety strikes:
● Ask yourself: Is this thought true? What evidence do I really have?
● Remind yourself: sometimes it’s more fear than fact.
And when panic hits, sudden changes in sensation can ground you in the present:
● Squeeze ice cubes in both hands
● Eat something super sour
● Step briefly into the cold air
● Hold a warm drink and focus on the heat in your hands
● Play a favorite song loudly & sing along

These small strategies can help ground you, ease racing thoughts, and bring you back to the present.
