We are looking for donations to help with start up costs and ensure our facility is up and running for opening date January 9, 2018. was formed in 2017 for the purpose of creating a social activity center for special needs adults. A fun "hang out". For members ages 18

to 64 to establish relationships, get involved in the community and enhance quality of life. A member is a special needs adult with semi-independent self help skills, who is willing to try new activities and work on daily living skills. Qualified staff, with friendly attitudes providing a safe environment for care of loved ones. There are few social environments for special needs adults in our community currently. will provide community activities along with in house opportunities. As a non profit organization, donors and fundraising will be key. This will be an ongoing process. The market in the greater Wausau area has shown an increase in the special needs population. Numbers according to the 2010 census were over 2000. Company Description
Adaptive Communities, Inc. was formed by special education professionals whom after working in a high school realize a need for a social activity center for adults. Our reasoning for establishment is to provide a facility that is safe, fun, energetic and enhance quality of life for our members. A place where loved ones can attend and caregivers are at ease. guiding goal is quality of life, which is what everyone deserves.

Yesterday I posted a sneak peak on our story for this amazing mural we got painted in our entry way! We are so happy with this new addition, as it seems to give the center that permanent feel we wanted! Although it is just some paint, we are physically leaving our mark on this place!

The warm weather must be here to stay, because we had an army of caterpillars visit our center last week!
I'm just kidding, but we did a craft with paper plates and created these really cute caterpillars. We used our creative skills, and fine motar skills to cut out different colored craft paper and glue them onto the arched paper plate cutout! I might be bias, but I think they turned out amazing!

We are summoning all the good spring vibes here at Adaptive! Last week we painted lady bugs and bumblebees. Although this craft did not bring sunshine into this next week, it brought sunshine into our members day and gave the center a little bit of extra brightness!
