Fulton County Health Center recently had the pleasure of hosting six local students at our 52nd Health Care Camp on April 19!

Throughout the day, students explored a wide range of healthcare topics, from career pathways and medical terminology to the importance of confidentiality and infection control. They also gained hands-on experience with wheelchair training and learned valuable skills they can start developing now.

A highlight of the camp was a behind-the-scenes tour of the hospital, including stops in the pharmacy, lab, psychiatric unit, emergency department, radiology, and more. Special thanks to our pharmacist, Eric Chaffin, for giving students an inside look at how a hospital pharmacy operates!

These students now have the opportunity to return as Volunteens for future volunteering or job shadowing experiences.

Wednesday, June 24 - 1:00 – 4:30 PM
Wednesday, July 22 - 1:00 – 4:30 PM
