Question - Do part-time CDL drivers need to be in an employer's -DOT random testing pool?

Answer - YES. All CDL drivers of CMV's must be included in the DOT random pool at all times.

Is medical ma*****na allowed in DOT drug testing?

SHORT ANSWER-- "No".

LONG ANSWER -- "Medical Review Officers will not verify a drug test as negative based upon information that a physician recommended that the employee use “medical ma*****na.” Please note that ma*****na remains a drug listed in Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act. It remains unacceptable for any safety‐sensitive employee subject to drug testing under the Department of Transportation’s drug testing regulations to use ma*****na."
